It is good to see my David again. Every time that he is away for a couple days, I find that he has acquired a new set of mannerisms and phrases. It is only then that I realize just how quickly he is growing. I wish that I could have captured the moment when he presented Johnathan's birthday card. David and Alaina had co-created a card that read "Happy Birthday, Daddy" and featured drawings of a train and a rocket. The inside leaflet of the card was scrawled with the word "cake." David opened the card for his Daddy and after examination asked, "Did you like it, Daddy?" It was quite entertaining, but words alone can't capture the humor of the moment.
As promised, it's a rainy day.
