It's a pleasantly dreary kind of day. It's strange to think that words like "pleasant" and "dreary" can coincide. It's a cloudy 73 degrees, and a light mist has been falling all morning. It's refreshing to be outside, but yet I'm just as content to watch the clouds pass from indoors.
Fridays are abominably slow, so I'm tentatively planning themed sessions for the next three months. I wonder what songs and activities will be used for recreation by the time I'm a senior citizen. It's hard to imagine "Sexy Back" serving the same purpose for my generation as "You Are My Sunshine" serves for current NHCU residents. Working with individuals in the thirty to forty age range is causing me to revisit some of the early 90s love songs. The tunes are as cheesy as smoked gouda, but I'm drawn to them more than ever. I'm far enough removed for it to have become representative of a time period.
