It has been quite a busy week in the life of Emily Claire McGowan. We came home from the hospital on Monday and began adjusting. Her bilirubin levels were elevated, so Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday involved trips to Atlanta and Macon for blood tests. My baby's poor little feet are bruised from the pricking, but today's levels were lower, signaling the downward start we've been looking for. Big brother displays a keen interest in his little "shister" and enjoys comforting her and bestowing kisses. This little person is one of the best things in the world, and I love our little family.
