Whenever I feel like posting but have relatively little to personally relate, I often scan the headlines for interesting topics. The first topic I came across listed twelve "feel-great" foods. Number one on the list is popcorn (with little to no butter), and I found myself smiling at the photo of fluffy white goodness. Others on the list include coffee, cola, eggs, milk, cocoa, chocolate, nuts, whole grains, lean pork, turkey, and grape juice. I like turkey, pork, and whole grains, but they don't make me happy in the way the others do. As odd as it might seem, just the thought of grape juice or a handful of peanuts makes me smile.
"Feel-bad" foods include large quantities of fries, soda, pork rinds, bacon cheeseburgers, white flour pasta with cream sauce, and cold cuts (or other fatty meats). Most of these are all about the amount and should be consumed in small quantities.
I fully intended to move onto another topic, but now I'm incredibly hungry. My pasta is white, but my meat is lean, so my baked spaghetti should be an acceptable balance.
