Soul-searching, rants, and random thoughts...
Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup...

I feel like I'm the only remaining individual who has yet to iron out my life. I'm glad for others happiness, but while everyone is settling into a routine of contentment, I'm still grasping vainly... It's maddening, really...

I believe someone may have cautioned you that being "busy to distraction" might turn around and bite you one day. Maybe you should quit trying so hard, and just take what God sends you as it comes.
Dont you worry about being alone. Those of us who seem to have our acts together are actually existing in a state of limbo... a repreive, if you will, from life. Isnt it the point of existance to be striving for something... working towards a goal? Routine, I believe, does not equate contentment because stagnantion is the root of all discontent. So grasp away my friend, keep working through your frustrations and tribulations towards that greater something that, for the moment, eludes your vision of the future but, I am sure, is right around the next bend.
NO ONE, no matter what they say, or how put together they appear to be, is really content. They are always striving for something more, or different. They may be happy and ok, as I'm sure you are in areas of your life, judging from recent past entries, but there are things they want to change or aquire. If we as humans just got to a point in our lives where we no longer needed or wanted to strive for more or different, we would begin to lose sense of accomplishment and our lives would be so mundane and gray. No one is as calm as they seem. Don't feel bad.
It's not because I'm "busy to distraction." I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment at the end of a hectic day - plus, being busy keeps me from thinking too much (obviously I wasn't very busy when I posted this). It has more to do with what Victor was talking about...being in limbo (funny how that keeps coming up - heh). Oh t'well tis a better place to be than some regions of the Inferno. ;-) Thanks for the encouragement, guys.

I know I'm not as steady and ready for life as I wish I was! AH
